Consultant care is fabulous - cannot be faulted - however... Overdue excess fee of £130.00 (hardly the King's Ransom!) letters were addressed to my son (needless to say - not the person who was paying the bill!) - so I wasn't getting the reminders... then Admin person has the audacity to phone me at work to chase the money!!! Disgusted with the customer service I have been shown this afternoon! Literally disgusted! Such a shame as Mr Woods was so fantastic, it is always an admin person with a superiority complex that spoils the ENTIRE customer experience. So cross. If you want me to may the bill, address the letters correctly and maybe be polite when you call!!

Beware - customer care is non existent, glossy brochure but nothing helpful such as pre-admission info which is paramount, at the Portland Hospital consultant was excellent & nursing staff great but aftercare is shocking money spinning out of hours doctor service at £350 an appointment. Recommend seeking alternatives to HCA Healthcare.

This place is beyond a joke. Before my surgery I was told I had to pay up front to later be refunded by my insurer. I did as I was told. But still provided my insurance details on all my forms when it came it all my appointments. However I was logged as a 'self- pay'. For the last month I have been trying to sort this to get my money back. I finally had my insurer pay HCA and now they are saying they cant find the payment. That's despite me sending the invoice and remit. Now… they have my money and my insurers money. Clearly they have my money. They have the evidence of that in two documents and I have a further document proving they have been paid. All i keep getting is 'we will check this friday and see if it's hit the account'. Payment was sent 29/08/2019. I am a final year PhD student. I don't have much money. The money I did use was a loan. I think it's disgusting what you've done.
Just read the reviews . Seems customer care doesn’t exist. So just stay with our own NHS. They really do have an excellent bedside manner.
Been trying to pay my bill, system confirmation, but didn’t charge my card. Took three weeks to respond to any email. Asked them to call at 1.30pm. They didn’t. I then call their payment office service, which is terrible. Three different cards (with money to cover) failed six times. They blamed me, called my bank, no process made. Called them back, continued to fail! Finally worked the seventh time. Mmm, your account system needs a overhaul! Your customer service needs action! Shame it doesn’t support the hospital service
The healthcare is excellent, but sadly the administration behind it is woeful. Seven months after an insured treatment was conducted the hospital decided to contact us out of the blue, claiming 950 GBP outstanding on our account. Despite 3 months of trying, they were unable to provide a copy to either ourselves or our insurers, and once this was eventually done and were told by our insurers not to contact us whilst the invoice was being assessed, we received a letter threatening to pursue legal action.....all this at a time when our 18 year old son has been through a period of great stress. Absolutely shameful treatment that lets down a great healthcare team
The care I received was as expected, but they charged me twice on several occasions, then insisted that I pay. The admin aspect is shocking.

Their administration is appalling. By their 13 mail letters of 6 dates, from 8 February 2019, to today Friday, 9 August 2019, from HCA Healthcare UK, to us, they have incorrectly charged us for 2 appointments and for 4 membership services that we have not received.
Strongly recommend the health check to those who have some urgent uncomfortable symptoms! About 70£ for 3 months HCA GP membership including health check and countless times GP appointments which can be booked online pretty conveniently!!!

Just had knee surgery and the service, nurses, anethetist were all amazing. Catering could have been better as our order was not picked up for ages but otherwise I enjoyed my stay. Nice view of the gardens and the Thames.

I had a blood test done because my partner is pregnant. The appointment was fine but the blood test was lost. In the space of a month and a half our family have had four blood tests in total and only one of them was successful (2 lost samples, 1 sample was left too long before being tested, 1 success). Something needs to be done about this incompetence!!
I have to say NHS has better customer service than this private hospital. Considering the money you pay, at most 2 stars. Their telephone Manner needs to improve. I have NK blood test done there recently and cost me £960. And a month already passed and I still haven’t get the result. So slow and bad internal management. Disappointed. I really think this private hospital is less efficient than Nhs. You paid the price but didn’t get the service

Was in overnight for foot surgery. Couldn't fault a thing - environment, food, clinical care, attitude and friendliness of staff, promptness, communication and information all excellent. Best hospital I have ever experienced.

I’ve just had ACL reconstruction in my knee through my insurance. The service and care was perfect and accurate. The food amazing, the room was big, clean and totally quiet, with great views facing the park. My surgeon, physiotherapists and the whole team was incredibly professional. They explained each stage of the procedure very calm and nicely. I could describe this place as “5-star hotel with operating theaters”
Went today with v high fever and they did a wrong diagnosis (worst condition I was) then I asked to be sent to a public hospital as they’d charge me 7,000£ to stay overnight (and I didn’t need to)Anyway staff also seemed to be out of love island and didn’t communicate to each otherThe staff at the other hospital was simply fantastic. I went for a pre op assessment and blood tests etc. The nurse who saw me was Leandri and she was so helpful, kind, reassuring and talked me through everything. She is the reason I would ask for any further treatment or future procedures to be done at the Lister Hospital. 5 stars for her Simon O’Shea
Similiar to a story of a previous patient, kept my wife waiting for hours for her infusion and her treatmnet started at 13.30 when we were told to arrive at 07.30. Also more interested in making sure you have paid and even got that wrong by attempting to overcharge us. Private hospitals like this are just conveyor belts for making money without any patient compansion.

I cannot thank the hospital workers enough for all their hard work and dedication. I have been to a lot of hospitals and met 50+ ObGyn's but I have never received such a care before. I have suffered from stage 4 endometriosis for 18 years since I was 12. I am so grateful to Mr. Khazali for saving my life and fixed my nerves so I am able to walk again. His team is absolutely wonderful I would recommend him to anyone suffering from endometriosis. I was in room 405 and received an amazing service, kindness, support and care from the 4th floor ward workers. Especially would like to thank Leandri, Nasira, Erea, George, Marie and everyone else who has looked after me during my stay.
I hade my IVF treatment here in the end of 2013, best clinic, best doctor and nicest nurses I´ve ever met. Also had a baby daughter after years and years of non successful treatments in other clinics.
Great post operative care from all of the team. Absolutely faultless. The team were proactive with hydration, blood pressure, dressings and pain management. Canula popped out during the night which was handled very calmly. Quiet room and tasty food. Great scheduling and a swift and efficient sign in and discharge once I felt well. A really positive experience at The Lister, thank you. The staff are kind, funny and they really care.
Unacceptable wait times!! Have been waiting 4 hours for only starting my infusion. Waited 3 hours for the caterer to pick my lunch order. Waited hours for the Dr to just bring the consent to be signed!! The waiting is still ongoing, no idea how long it will end up! So while writing this review I don't have the infusion started, or lunch served or the consent signed!
I did an outpatient procedure there. The admission was quick and easy. Everything went great. However, afterwards the catering team was disorganized. I asked the nurse to bring food shortly after getting to my room after the surgery since it was already well in the afternoon and I was starving, was told it would take 30 min and it took them 90 min to bring it!! I had to call a nurse to inquire about it. They catering later told me they thought it was delivered by one of them when in fact it was not.
Having attended a scan with my daughter we were told that the heartbeat could not be detected. Instead of being given private time to process this distressing news we were shipped out to the waiting roomWhilst in the waiting room waiting to see a consultant we were subjected to stares from staff and patients whilst we displayed distress at the devastating news we had received.A quiet space is needed to be provided for patients receiving such heartbreaking news rather than being shoved into such a public space. This should not be a big issue to provide considering the amount charged for services offered
I had a very bad experience at this hospital. I was self paying myself so very disappointed as I’m a clinician myself so have been regularly to this hospital but not as in patient. The consultant mr raza / anathesists were amazing. It was nursing staff not attentive, I was waiting in my surgical gown until 10pm at night, I had been told someone was coming. It was worse than NHS!! I was nhs two years ago and nursing staff were much better. Just cannot believe spend over £4K for such a bad service. I ve tried to call to speak to PALS was on hold for 40 minutes no answer Will definitely encourage my patients not to have surgery at Lister go elsewhere

I had a great gynecologist here but unfortunately when trying to get an appointment , The Lister don’t even answer ? It wasn’t like that a year ago but it has obviously declined since.
Fertility clinic amazing, all staff caring and fantastic. Rooms clean and comfortable.

The customer service at Urgent Care it’s very professional and helpful. They attended us immediately with proper follow-up and action plan.
Avoid this hospial if you can as it is over crowed and a nightmare to find parking! Staff are culeless as I asked 3 staff members where section 6 was and not one had any idea.Once I finally found parking and section 6, I waited at the reception with the receptionist clearly annoyed that I was waiting, she ignored me for sometime until I spoke up twice! Then she still avoided eye contact while grunting some institutions at me.I was finally seen but 90min after my appointment was due.I understand NHS staff are over run but at this time all patients were calm and respectful so the short tone and Annoyance from the receptionists was just uncalled for. A smile or Simply acknowledging a patient would go a long way! As most of us are nervous or worried as no one goes to the hospital for fun! God bless NHS staff but your not the only ones that have a hard job, work long hours and are underpaid! The cleaning team are the ones I feel for, clean urine, poo and blood for a living! To the receptionist, Just smile! :)

I worked as a temp here for one week for one of the rudest surgeons I had met in all my temping years. Never again.
Brought my son for an outpatient appointment at The Lister - fabulous experience from everyone! The lovely welcome at the front door, the receptionists, the doctor and the nurses were all so professional. Not at all surprised at the Outstanding rating from CQC. Highly recommend this Hospital.

My insurance referred me to this hospital for treatment however, upon reading the reviews I think it would be sensible to avoid. I’ve been trying to cancel my appointment for two days, but they do not answer the phone! I think that says a lot about them!
