He has completed over 1,000 obesity and metabolic surgeries in the past six years. This experience shows his strong skills and high patient volume.
Dr. Batman is accredited by the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity. He is also an active member of the Turkish Surgery Association and the World Obesity Association. As a founding faculty member at Istinye University, he has helped train future surgeons. He has also earned the title of Associate Professor through his academic work.

Associate Professor Burçin Batman studied medicine at Fırat University Faculty of Medicine; He completed his specialty education at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa). Afterwards, he completed his compulsory service at Muş Bulanık State Hospital and started to work full-time at Liv Hospital Ulus Hospital.
He has mainly worked in the field of Obesity and Metabolic Surgery (Stomach sleeve surgery, Endoscopic gastric balloon application, metabolic surgeries) and has been found in over 1000 cases in 6 years. In addition, he has worked in the fields of Colorectal Surgery, Endocrine Surgery, Laparoscopic inguinal and umbilical hernias, anal region diseases (Laser hemorrhoid treatment, Doppler assisted hemorrhoidopexy) and has performed many successful surgeries.
Founded in 2016, one of the first faculty members of the General Surgery Department of Istinye University Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Burçin Batman has given theoretical and practical lectures to medical students at this faculty until 2020.
