At the Carolina Medical Center I am the head of the Department of Orthopedics, Traumatology and Sports Medicine. In addition, I worked at the Sports Medicine Department of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, the Rheumorticology Clinic of the Institute of Rheumatology and the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Hospital of the Ministry of Interior and Administration. I held the position of orthopedic consultant for the Legia football club, a doctor of the Polish Swimming Association and a doctor for the youth team of the Polish Basketball Association.
I specialize in meniscus transplantation, cartilage reconstruction, multi-ligament reconstruction and osteotomies within the knee joints, shoulder arthroscopy and the treatment of soft tissues, tendons and ligaments. I deal with traumatology and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. As one of the few orthopedists in Poland, I perform hip arthroscopy.

Dr. Tomasz Kowalski is an experienced specialist in orthopedics and traumatology. He is the Deputy Head of Department at Carolina Medical Center. He focuses on sports orthopedics, regenerative medicine, arthroscopy, and surgery of the shoulder and elbow joints.
Dr. Kowalski completed advanced training at UCLA. There, he focused on sports orthopedics and stem cell research for musculoskeletal injuries. He also trained in arthroscopy and joint reconstruction at leading UK hospitals, including The Royal Orthopedic Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
He previously led the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department at Wye Valley NHS Trust. He also trained resident doctors. Dr. Kowalski is known for his surgical skills and holds international accreditations in orthopedic surgery.
