Beware of this establishment. My mother had her denture made here, and the measurements for her teeth were too small, even though her actual teeth are supposed to be much bigger. As a result, she has lost a lot of weight and has been unable to eat - not only because they are smaller in size, but because they come out of her mouth. Similarly, I paid these individuals to whiten my teeth; before doing so, I also paid for them to clean my teeth - I assume the procedure is called "full mouth wash" - they were unable to completely remove the stains that I had. Months later, I came back for them to remove the stains, and they were also unable to perform this act. The biggest surprise? I looked at my teeth weeks later on using a mirror, and using my own fingernail, I was literally able to remove the few stains that I had without any hassle in a matter of seconds.

WASTE OF MONEY! AVOID DR NITARDY AT ALL COST. Went in for 2 implants which she installed. Both came out within 6 weeks. Went back down and she re-installed both of them. One of them also came out 6 weeks later. Of course this is quite upsetting by itself. I was planning on having the abutment placed and crown done here in the USA since 3 out of 4 impants failed. She doesnt' even have records of what brand and size implant that she used. AVOID RIOGRANDE DENTAL. DR NITARDY IS INCOMPETENT. LUCKILY SHE WORKS IN MEXICO AND IS NOT SUBJECT TO ANY STANDARDS. WASTE OF MONEY. USE A DIFFERENT DENTIST IN JUAREZ IF YOU GO!!

For the second time in a couple yearsI have had an outstanding experience @ Rio Grande Dental. Born with a cleft lip and palate, my teeth have been a dentists’ challenge forever. This time specialist Dr Gerardo Nuñez spent 5.5 hours straight carefully and gently reworking a difficult layout. A few days later another 2.5 hours creatively installing 14 individual Full Contour Zirconium crowns and a bridge. They look like all natural teeth with a look I haven’t had since another long braces and reconstruction 4 decades ago. AND at an affordable cost more than $25,000 LESS than quoted by my local dentists. All without having to do several extractions and implants which local dentists were going to do. Amazing work. I received treatment from this facility. A root canal, crown, and deep cleaning. For starters I wasn't given a temporary crown to cover the exposed tooth. 1 week after the root canal I received the crown. I was in so much pain when I got back to the states I had to go to the ER. I contacted the office and was assured it took time to heal. After dealing with discomfort off and on for 9 months, I had an exam performed in the US. The crown was not properly fitted, this allowed any type of bacteria to grow. Ultimately causing not only the need for it to be removed but infection spread to the tooth next to it. I had to have both removed and get a partial denture due to the incompetence of this facility. I thought I was getting a deal $700 for root canal and crown. Just remember you get what you pay for.

I was anxious because I live in Canada and having dental work done in Mexico seemed daunting. There really was no reason to worry. The staff are very friendly and make you feel like part of the family. Their professional dentistry skills are excellent and unsurpassed. I am very pleased with the outcome. I had five root canals and five crowns performed here. They saved teeth they told me in Canada needed extraction. My teeth look stunning. At one tenth of the cost in Calgary in Canada. You can have a Hollywood smile here. I guarantee. The facility is minimalistic, not the stylish designer offices in Canada. Then again you pay ten times more for the decor and the convenience of not travelling. At Rio Grande even though the facility is minimalist it is very clean and perfect hygiene. Try to overlook the minimalism and realize the staff have the very highest professional skills. And I felt in Canada I was being milked and I had to keep coming back and paying more and more. And far too many dentists I find in Canada have shockingly poor skills and poor hygiene. To find a good dentist in Canada or anywhere is rare. At Rio Grande they are honest, and genuinely care about you. As low as the cost is at Rio Grande they make sure not to add any additional charges. What they quote you is what you pay. I spent even less than I had expected. As to safety. I stayed in El Paso and Rio Grande Dental’s driver drove me back and forth. I did not wander off in Juarez. And I feel like this I was 100% safe. I highly recommend trusting Rio Grande Dental. I am sure you will be very pleased. I am 100% satisfied and they exceeded my expectations.Just to be clear my dental work at Rio Grande was performed between March 5 and 8 of this year 2018. I have a Spanish name but I was raised in South Africa, with excellent medical and dental professionals, and moved to Canada many years ago. What I write is my own opinion and I am in no way associated with Rio Grande. It is simply my honest opinion, a few days after work was completed and I am back in Canada. Also remember the old saying. Do not judge a book by its cover. A good attitude and a little bravery goes a long way.It is now almost one year. Thought I would update. The work done has remained in good stead, no issues. So I remained very pleased. I have eaten steak and hard nuts without any issues. My medical aid refunded over 90% of the cost. And in reality I paid little more than my flight and hotel. In retrospect too it was an adventure. And I would definitely return. I have come to increasingly trust Mexico on medical expertise in all fields. I need that because out of pocket costs in North America are far too high for anyone but the very wealthy. So I will not only be travelling to Mexico for the occadional sunshine and beach but for any medical needs as they arise.

I was at the clinic not long ago, and overall had a good experience, staff is very friendly and explain the treatments very well. (I can't say anything about the work because I plan to come back to start another time)The only thing I have to say in the negative side is the wait to be taken back, I understand that is a free shuttle and that there are times, but after waiting 2 hours for the driver to return and see that he was in Wendy's (they all had Wendy's cups) with his family and making us wait on purpose was unacceptable, the front desk called the driver when we were all finished but he still didn't come back for us till 2 hours later. I just wish they have more control over the shuttle service, clinic and other staff were great.

I emailed ahead and was given a price and length of time that the procedures i needed done would take. I planned my trip accordingly and when i arrived at the clinic the doctor told me one thing, and then i was led back out into the office and the receptionist called me back with a completely different plan, and then the doctor told me yet a third plan. So I agreed to have X-rays, a cleaning, and trays taken of the impressions of my teeth. They never did my cleaning which they did not charge me for. It seemed like from one minute to the next they did not know what i was there for. Finally it seemed as if they were more concerned with rotating the patients thru and getting them all back to their hotels than they were with actually completing the treatments. I also never received the 12% discount for paying with cash and I never received any discount on the roach motel they referred us to, would never have stayed there otherwise. I payed roughly 400$ (total trip costs) for nothing. Completely unprofessional. AVOID THIS DENTAL OFFICE. If i could give a negative star rating i would.

I came to Rio Grande Dental needing a root canal and a crown replaced. I was appalled at the lack of professionalism. I've never been in a place where I had to hold the xray film in my fingers. They don't even have a light box to look at their xrays. The young woman who removed my crown spent 15 minutes hammering at my tooth. I asked her twice to get someone else because I was terrified she was going to kill my tooth. The crown they placed broke as she was placing it. I waited for 8 hours in their office behind bars while they replaced it. I had a mouth guard made. It doesn't work. It pulls all my teeth to one side. They have a warranty for this crown. The crown broke the same day. I dont wish to go back in because the whole process with this office feels like I'm at a mechanic not a dental office. Please do more research before coming here. I do plan on going back to Juarez for more dental work and I"ve done much more research, spoken to locals, and called a few places. Also, you don't speak to a provider at all. You speak to an office assistant that gives you prices and arranges your treatment. It was like picking off the menu ala carte and there was no meaningful interaction with the provider. The tooth did not take the root canal. I fact, the provider aggressively filed my tooth from within that it further caused more inflammation and infection. It had to be removed. I even traveled back down (7 hour trip) to have it rechecked. All of the connective tissue around the molar was inflamed. They gave no options, no remedy, just gave me a prescription for antibiotics and some pain killers. Update: the Crown they fabricated was made shoddy. the metal wore right through within a year. The crown on the lingual side is too high, my tongue cannot move correctly over my teeth. It's caused damage to the occluding tooth and my sinuses as the two teeth have been hammering into each other. I'm being seen for some severe periodontal issues from this, the tooth possibly need extraction or a root canal. It's caused some severe damage to my entire body as my whole system has attempted to adjust to this tooth (i.e. my gait is off, my sight is off, I'm getting TMJ) Their work will now cost me thousands of more dollars to fix. i am self-employed and pay out-of-pocket for all of my healthcare, hence, seeking out dental work across the border. BTW: I am a Registered Nurse. My back ground is in wound care, surgical/medical, community/public health, long-term care, acute in-patient care, management.

The staff was very nice, but I do have to say that I was not fully satisfied with our visit to the clinic, NOT because of the work but the place needs some work. The sofa is old and cheap, the transportation is awful and no A/C, the driver does not look professional, the doctor doesn't have a one on one conversation with you before the procedure (which is odd), the lady in the front (which is not a doctor) is the one with all the information, and she was very helpful but it is not the same when YOUR doctor is the one giving you comfort on the work that needs to be done.

BEWARE!!! RIO GRANDE DENTAL IS A SCAM!!! THE GOOD REVIEWS POSTED ON GOOGLE ARE FICTITIOUS AND FAKE PEOPLE. YOU WILL GET SCAMMED!!! I recently traveled to Juarez to have mini dental implants and snap-on dentures placed. The general travel experience overall was good and the people were all very nice and friendly; however, I have concerns about the quality of the medical/dental care that I received. I had "8" mini dental implants placed and within just 30 days after getting the implants, 6 out of the 8 failed and actually came out. I didn't eat anything other than soft foods and did exactly what I was supposed to do, but I don't think the implants were correctly placed for strength and support. I contacted the dental clinic and informed them that 6 of my 8 implants failed within 30 days and asked them for some sort of compensation or help on correcting the problems. I also asked what I should do with the implants that came out and how to get help here in the U.S. until I could get back to Mexico again to have them repaired. I received an email from them stating that they wouldn't do anything about the problems and that the implants were not under any sort of warranty or guarantee whatsoever. I spent thousands of dollars for this treatment of which failed on me within a month or receiving it... I am very disappointed and out a lot of money and still don't have functioning teeth. Please be advised that anyone seeking to go to Rio Grande Dental in Juarez, you may get a great price, but it is highly unlikely that the dental work will last longer than a month without major complications. Thank you.

The price was unbeatable. The staff were very kind and helpful. The office was definitely a little dirty compared to any dentist office I have been to in the US. And the specialist doctor who came in to do my root canal never wore a mask and once he even sneezed over all his tools. They definitely could improve on there hygiene. But overall I was very very impressed and so far I couldn't be happier with the results. The dentist were really amazing and very efficient. My mouth is healing great.
