My whole family against me coming to turkey for this operation from the Us they were very scared and I was a little nervous as well . Wish they could have come and seen how I was treated here like royalty . Hate to admit it but would have never got this kind of service in US. Hello, my name is Vladislav Ivanov, Ukraine, Odessa city. In February 2021, my daughter Vlada was diagnosed with anaplastic ependymoma, we went to the doctors for a week trying to find out why the child started having severe headaches. They went through examinations, did an MRI, and as a fact, they found a brain tumor. That's when the ground slipped from under my feet. Realization has come - this has already happened, which means you need to quickly take action. The first thing we did was go to the children's hospital in Kyiv, the child was given a shunt. But unfortunately, fluid began to collect in my head and my vision began to fall sharply. The doctors explained that an operation was urgently needed. We did not have a large accumulated amount, and we decided to complete the operation abroad. We contacted Bookmed. We contacted the employee Marina. Marina quickly found a clinic for us in Turkey, organized a trip for us, flew to Turkey in a matter of days. The hospital was already waiting for us. Examined, took blood for tests and the next day an operation was scheduled. Everything went well. Then they underwent a course of radiotherapy. The results are positive, we were sent home to Ukraine (August 2021). Every 3 months they underwent MRI, the pictures were good .. But a year later, in March 2022, we heard the terrible words “relapse”, “war”. Hastily collected the necessary documents and left for Lviv. From there, by large buses, all children with cancer began to be taken out along the humanitarian corridor from Ukraine to Europe. The daughter and his wife were assigned to France. A second operation was performed, the tumor was removed, and after that a course of chemotherapy was prescribed. After a month of taking the course, the doctor said that chemotherapy was not helping. The doctor suggested experimental chemotherapy, but that didn't help either. As a result, the daughter is getting worse and worse every day. The child began to walk badly, the right leg and handle practically do not work. The child melted before my eyes. It's all very scary, but it's worse to leave Vlad without an opportunity for treatment. I again turned to Marina Bookmed Marina again very quickly found us a hospital in Turkey, helped us with the flight Paris Istanbul. Arrived at the hospital 2 days later, the operation was successful!!! After the operation, the child began to talk, swallow, and after a couple of days to walk. I did a similar operation 20 years ago in Germany - now it’s definitely better, now the postoperative period has been reduced to a day and it is less painful. The hospital is good, double ward and the conditions are comfortable. There is a shower in the room, it’s convenient. We spoke with Ralph Bull, a doctor before the operation. After the first consultation, there remained uncertainty whether to do the operation or not. In this regard, doctors are careful and if there is a risk of surgery with complications, they can offer injections and physiotherapy, which is cheaper and safer. Nevertheless, in my case, the doctor once again reviewed the MRI and decided to do the operation. Adequate treatment, do not inject too much, gave pain medication. In general, everything is fine, the postoperative period is small and everything is good so far. We definitely would not have such a result.

I would like to share my experience in the clinic. The most important thing about the operation, I had a huge hernia and before the operation I was warned about the possible difficulties of removal by the endoscopic method, but the doctor advised me to start with it. A very good doctor - Stanislaw Kwiek, has over 16 years of experience in minimally invasive surgery. The operation was successful. The rehabilitologist is a good woman, she told and showed the exercises and a rough rehabilitation plan. Most of all I didn't like the managers. Before the operation, they assured that it was enough for them to show the tickets, that I was flying to them, and you could pay on the spot. As soon as I showed the tickets, they told me that now I need to pay 20% in advance ... Also, the entire price list was thrown off to me only after I threw off the tickets to them. Part of the expenses was covered by the insurance and the clinic had to return the difference. If before the operation they picked up the phone immediately, then after that I could not get through. The money was returned after 2 weeks, but not the entire amount, I did not understand why, as I think it is useless. In general, if you forget about those who make money and talk only about the honey side, then everything is fine. Good doctor.

LIV Hospital services are very much in line with and in no way inferior to the world level, believe me, because due to health problems of my family, we had to see clinics in the USA, China, South Korea, Israel. From the very first call I felt great care for me as a loved one. Many thanks to Sabina, Nigina - coordinators / translators, they did a great job, we could contact them at any time of the day and they supported the patient with all their hearts. Please note that everything here is based on Turkish, only doctors can communicate in English. It can be seen how much Turkey has advanced and is self-sufficient. I am grateful to fate that I met the professor - neurosurgeon Chagatay Ozturk. Easy to communicate, concise, it is immediately clear that the highest level specialist, after the examination, identified the problem and showed it on the MRI scan and explained what was to come. An operation was performed to remove the hernia on L5-S1 and a titanium disc was installed. The atmosphere of the team was very favorable and cozy, there was a high level of coherence and discipline. The concern was such that I did not feel any pain or heaviness, although they say that the operation was not an easy one. On the second day after the operation, I already walked and on the sixth day I was already discharged. Finally I got rid of pain and sleepless nights over the years! We received several counselling sessions and a proposal for treatment. All consultations were organised in a highly professional manner with the necessary preparation. We liked very much the approach of the counsellors. Convenient way of providing the necessary information and documentation, constant communication with the consultants and prompt responses, as well as the organisation of online meetings. All submitted documents were analysed by the doctor before the consultation, we received comprehensive answers to all the questions we had, as well as very important recommendations for additional examination. Only one minor disadvantage: during one of the consultations the connection was interrupted several times, but it did not affect the final result, the connection was restored and all unclear related issues were solved by repeated discussion.
