Clinical oncologist
Dr. Shaunak Valame is an MD in Internal Medicine and holds a DNB in Medical Oncology. He received advanced training at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi. He also worked as a Registrar at Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital in Bhopal. Dr. Valame has presented his research at international forums, including the Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium in San Francisco.
He is known for his work in targeted cancer therapies. He has given lectures at the International Winter School of Oncology at AIIMS Bhopal. Dr. Valame is accredited by the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He is committed to advancing cancer research and clinical care.
Dr. Shaunak completed his MD in Internal Medicine from Shyam Shah Medical College, Rewa (2012-15) followed by a Senior Residency in the same department. He worked as Registrar in Medical Oncology in Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Bhopal (2016-17) He has completed his DNB, Medical Oncology training from Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi (2017-20).
During his Senior Residency, he delivered lectures at the International Winter School of Oncology programme held at AIIMS, Bhopal in 2016 and 2017. He presented his research paper on Stomach Cancer at the elite Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium organized by American Society of Clinical Oncology at San Francisco in January 2020.
He has an interest in the molecular basis of cancer and is well versed in targeted therapies. He is determined to pursue academia and research.
